Sundown Saloon Restaurant Review:
Sundown’s kid-friendly menu attracts families with children looking for lunch or early supper. But after the sun goes down, the place shows its saloon side where it’s bottoms up and the decibels bend the needle. The menu includes all-American favorites like macaroni and cheese and mini corn dogs with corn sugar mustard. Served with french fries or coleslaw, sandwiches like the barbecue pulled pork with sweet pickles on mini potato rolls, and The Bob Marley with Jamaican spice-rubbed chicken, cheddar and sautéed onions, are hearty, filling and full of family-friendly appeal. There are also inventive burger selections, too. Sundown even has salads, but like everything else on the menu these Two Ton Tess versions are substantial. Try the chopped grilled vegetable with zucchini, summer squash, eggplant, corn, red onion and mixed greens in an herb dressing. Sides like cornbread, mashed potatoes, waffle fries and chips 'n' salsa are good shareable add-ons when substituting appetizers for main courses or for nibbling over drinks.
