Tapa The World Restaurant Review:
A staple of the Sacramento dining scene for more than two decades, Tapa The World consistency turns out high-end traditional and modern Spanish cuisine. The interior is warm and welcoming, the patio relaxing and inviting, and live music and an extensive wine list make for a fun night out. The Spanish menu features plenty of entrées, but the way to go is to follow in the Spanish tradition and share several tapas and a bottle of wine. Daily specials are always a good bet and include meat-filled empanadas and croquetas. Other tapas include fried calamari, grilled pork skewers and sesame-seared ahi with piquillo pepper sherry coulis. The wine list presents selections from throughout the world, but the focus is, naturally, on Spanish wines, and dozens of varieties from all regions of Spain are available. A pitcher of sangría and a seat on the outdoor patio is a good way to pass a summer evening.
