Tucker's Place Restaurant Review:
The appetizers are deep-fried; the salads are constructed from iceberg lettuce; and the Special Reserve USDA Choice steaks are oh-so-tasty. Tucker's offers hearty, simple food, the sort of stuff you'd eat with a group of pals before or after a sporting event. Skip the pizza and the sandwiches and stick with the steaks, cooked the way they're ordered---the kitchen even offers a disclaimer for those foolish enough to request them well-done. The Midwest has some of the best pork in the world, and Tucker's big pork loin chop proves it. Fancy salad dressings and sautéed veggies cost a little extra, but that’s okay. No one’s here for the parsley, watercress or twisted orange slices. This place is about good value for your money, and it delivers without scrimping in an atmosphere friendly enough to bring carnivores back again and again.
