For daytime dining, the Beachhouse restaurant at Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa dons a different name: The Veranda. Guests can opt for the continental breakfast table, which features fresh pineapple, papaya and other tropical fruits, or order entrées such as coconut almond crunch waffles with whipped honey-rum butter. The Victorian architecture of the resort might also put you in the mood for afternoon tea. The Moana Classic Tea Service ($32.50) includes a choice of tea along with finger sandwiches, scones and pastries, while the First Lady Tea Service ($48) also offers fresh berries with crème fraîche, a glass of sparkling rosé, and a sandalwood fan for a souvenir. À la carte selections from the lunch menu might range from salads to a Wailua asparagus risotto flavored with lemon zest and Parmesan or a Wagyu steak tartare served with Okinawan potato crisps.
