Wink Restaurant Review:

“See what we are making fresh today,” proclaims Wink, where menus are reconfigured daily to reflect the availability of the freshest meats, seafood, produce and cheeses. Although the smartly casual dining room seats 50 at the most, there's room in the kitchen for two of the city's culinary notables: owners Stewart Scruggs, formerly of the Four Seasons Hotel New York; and Mark A. Paul, who earned his stripes at Charlie Trotter's and Le Cirque. The wine bar expansion transformed any wait for a table into an enjoyable warm-up. Entrées are reminiscent of Sonoma Valley and focus on balancing the natural and the elegant. Dishes that have caught our eye (and palate) include a generous serving of seared foie gras on brioche with parsnip purée and a raspberry reduction, or duck breast with sweet potato purée and sweet-and-sour garlic. The weekly changing wine list and Wink’s 50-plus wines by the glass guarantee the vino will always complement the plate. Don't overlook the tasting menus or desserts, like the basil panna cotta and El Rey chocolate cake. Vegetarians rejoice: You are never overlooked here.
