Yacht StarShip Restaurant Review:
Passengers aboard the Yacht StarShip dine from a limited-selection menu while enjoying ever-changing views complemented by music in the background. The experience appeals to folks who want to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or a special romantic meal with dancing. Most popular is the dinner cruise, offering a panoramic perspective of the Tampa Bay area’s best nightlights. A traditional three-course meal begins with a choice of starters (salad, soup of the day) followed by such entrées as Big Guava Chicken (lightly breaded, pan-seared breast of chicken with a sweet-and-sour guava sauce served with garlic oil angel hair pasta and broccolini) or the pork chop Havana (bone-in, with Cuban sandwich stuffing --- ham, salami, Swiss cheese, dill pickle --- pan-seared with tangy mustard and accompanied by Parmesan mashed potatoes and asparagus). Desserts range from bread pudding to crème brûlée. Service is attentive. The cruise itself takes about two-and-a-half hours. The StarShip II sails out from Tampa’s Channelside Port through Ybor Channel and into Hillsborough Bay. Views include wildlife like pelicans and often dolphins as well as the stylish homes along Bayboro Drive, Harbour Island, Davis Islands and downtown Tampa.
