Yard House Restaurant Review:
More than 100 draft beers on tap are inducement enough for many to come to Yard House, but this location is filled with groups of business people and families with children, as well as beer lovers. You can enjoy a game in the bar area or some relative quiet on the patio. Wine drinkers won't feel overlooked, though, as both the bottle list and the by-the-glass offerings are more interesting than one might expect at a chain. Although all-American burgers and steaks are available, the menu has become increasingly eclectic, crossing many international borders. Reflecting that diversity are shareable snacks like deviled eggs with sweet chili; hummus and chips; a Korean beef taco; and a refreshing ahi poke bowl. For larger plates, porcini-crusted halibut is enlivened by a porcini cream sauce and truffle oil, while a pepper-crusted filet mignon is served alongside Parmesan mashed potatoes, asparagus and a brandy-shallot cream sauce. Jambalaya, orange peel chicken and barbecued ribs represent the wide breadth of the menu as well. Consider the Kona coffee ice cream sundae, mini soufflés or floats made not with root beer but with draft, such as Young's Chocolate Stout or Lindemans Framboise with vanilla ice cream.
