Zahav Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant and décor: Zahav, which means "gold" in Hebrew, showcases chef Michael Solomonov's love for the foods of his homeland. Intended to reflect the secluded courtyards of Jerusalem, the design features limestone floors and walls, hand-carved tables and draped fabric awnings.

About the food & drinks: Whet your appetite with an inventive cocktail (try a Lemonnana, with bourbon, muddled mint and verbena) before scooping up the flavorful, buttered Turkish hummus served with homemade flatbread. The prix-fixe meal continues with mezze and the restaurant's signature coal-fired kebabs. Pomegranate lamb shoulder is served alongside crispy Persian rice. End on a refreshing note with green apple sorbet with fresh ginger granita. On the wine list, you'll find sections dedicated to offerings from Israel, Lebanon, Tuscany and beyond.
