Zenkichi Restaurant Review:
It might seem like you're in your own little world at Zenkichi. The multi-level space is Zen'ed out, with plenty of minimalist touches and lots of wood. The space itself competes with the food. But, fortunately, the kitchen, run by a native of Tokyo, serves up decent fare. Try the roasted duck breast marinated in honey-soy sauce and served with grilled scallions; the Camembert and tiger shrimp tempura; or the sashimi grade scallops and Japanese mushrooms in an oven-roasted sea urchin cream sauce. If you're in adventurous mood, order the shark cartilage in plum sauce or the wasabi-braised octopus.
