THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mezza 9 Restaurant Review:
A Rosslyn hangout for business lunches and a successful drop-in for casual folk at any time, the Hyatt Arlington's Mezza 9 offers a brilliant array of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, many shared in the form of tapas. We recommend the lentil and chickpea salad tossed with bits of roasted tomatoes and eggplant, the honey-glazed lamb and preserved apricot brochette, marinated cheeses served with sausage and Serrano ham with pears and arugula. The dinner menu offers even more of a chance for chef Jeff Foresman to display his talents. Starters include smoked salmon terrine, frutti di mer and roasted tomato and fennel soup. Seamed lobster, grilled veal chop and pistachio-crusted rack of lamb fill out the bill. Desserts are not particularly Mediterranean, but include a warm Alsatian apple tart, mixed berries and a white chocolate crème brûlée.
