Miel Restaurant Review:
In the burgeoning Sylvan Park/Charlotte Avenue area, Miel offers a traditional French menu that includes classics such as foie gras, steak au poivre, braised duck and bouillabaisse. There’s an elegant grace to the cooking, but not everything fits a European mold: a winter dish of risotto with country ham and greens is Southern through and through. Vegans and vegetarians will always find something to please, and servers are attentive to special requests. Desserts are delightful; try the profiteroles with velvety dark chocolate sauce. The wine list is affordable and offers plenty of selections, with a heavy emphasis on Napa and most of France.
