The Milk Bar Restaurant Review:
Hot pink and sky blue walls bearing chalkboard menus distinguish The Milk Bar. Food is clearly geared toward the hordes of nearby university students who frequent the place, and who would probably relate well to sandwiches called Psycho Chicken, Clooney’s Choice and Wolf Me Down. But it is the Blue Heeler that may become the house signature two-hander: roast beef, onions, mushrooms, and blue and mozzarella cheeses. Finish it all off with a Chocthunder from Downunder hand-scooped milkshake, and for just more than $10, you’re fortified and ready for your next class. Staff moves quickly and efficiently, with sandwiches and/or milkshakes readied in just a few minutes. Also located in Uptown at 1514 Delachaise St., 504-891-9361.
