This burrito stand is, at least, a little different-and a lot better than most you’ll find in Houston. For one thing, Mission Burritos warms its tortillas-no doubt the reason a line snakes out the door during weekday lunches. The staff adds all sorts of goodies, from Mexican rice and pinto beans to roasted tomato salsa, avocado, cilantro-onion mix, tomatillos and, of course, cheese. Since the burrito is wrapped up right in front of you, however, you can special order it any way you like-and you won’t get a dirty look. But the best thing about this quasi fast-food joint is the ambience. It’s fast-and you can get the burritos to go-but why would you? You can enjoy them with a knife and fork on the tranquil patio deck, sidewalk café or the colorful southwestern garage motif of the interior spaces.
