For lovers of Italian food, the cozy, rustic European-inn atmosphere at Mondo’s is welcoming. The light eater can choose from a variety of insalatas, bruschettas, antipasti and soups. Those with a bigger appetite will find excellent pastas combined with various sauces, plus homemade pizza, huge sandwiches and tempting specials that include a daily veal preparation. Italian wines, especially well-known Chiantis, are favored on the wine list, along with a good choice of French and California wines. Desserts include the heavenly tiramisu and vacherin.
