MORE, The Buffet at Luxor Restaurant Review:
The Luxor’s spacious buffet emporium sports alcoves adorned with comfortable booths, glass, brass and lush foliage to achieve a cozy ambience. Omelets are breakfast winners, as are the french toast and apple crêpes with blueberry sauce. On the enormous salad bar, we like the chilled shrimp on ice and the hummus with pita bread. Mexican specialties are always popular; so is the Asian fare, such as pork egg rolls with plum sauce, orange chicken and shrimp stir-fry. Salmon and mashed potatoes with gravy are available at the American display, and the carving station offers prime rib and turkey breast. For dessert, lots of chocolate and traditional cakes are featured, plus appealing carrot cake, flan and orange Bundt cake. Breakfast Mon.-Fri. $17.99 (children 4-11 $13.99); Lunch Mon.-Fri. $18.99 (children 4-11 $14.99); Dinner Mon.-Thurs. $23.99 (children 4-11 $19.99), Fri.-Sat. $26.99 (children 4-11 $22.99); Brunch Sat.-Sun. $21.99 (children 4-11 $17.99); all-day Mon.-Fri. $35.99 (children 4-11 $31.99), Sat.-Sun. $39.99 (children 4-11 $31.99).
