Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
The Morton's chain is all about quality steaks, salads and sides with a couple of seafood items thrown in. The originator of the show-and-tell tableside menu, Morton's lays it on thick. But it's a good thick, and it's a fine place for good food and a good time in a clubby atmosphere. After a liquid cocktail, dive into a shrimp or jumbo (a word frequently appearing on the menu) lump crab meat cocktail to start. Chopped salad is a meal in its own. For meat and potato fans, we favor the bone-in rib-eye or the strip steak au poivre, and the Lyonnaise potatoes. The sides are à la carte, and large enough to share. If there's room, there's nothing like a lush and rich piece of cheesecake or Morton's hot chocolate cake to wind up a steakhouse dinner.
