Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
Just off Michigan Avenue, this location of Morton's --- a Chicago-born and -bred steakhouse --- has a lunch business that booms like a culinary cannon. Of course, the dinner business makes a bang as well. Morton's is all about steaks (and good ones at that), plus huge sides and a couple of seafood items thrown in. The chopped salad is a meal on its own; the best appetizer is the colossal shrimp cocktail. The originator of the show-and-tell tableside menu, Morton's lays it on thick. We usually go for the New York strip or five peppercorn rubbed strip steak. There's nothing like a rich piece of cheesecake to wind down a steakhouse dinner. Then again, the soufflé is as good as you will find anywhere.
