Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
Morton's is a mainstay for steak connoisseurs and a destination for expense account dinners. Its reputation for serving only the finest cuts of meat --- from bone-in rib-eyes to New York strips and a porterhouse --- is probably the reason why the chain is an international presence on the steakhouse scene. Whet the appetite with baked escargots. Entrées such as a scallop Surf and Turf and miso marinated sea bass are worthy alternatives for those who do not lean towards steak. Sides provide a much needed serving of vegetables and additional starches; choose from refreshingly light options such as steamed jumbo asparagus and sautéed broccoli florets. An array of seasonal dishes ensures there is always something new on the menu, even for regulars. Among dessert highlights are a tart Key lime pie and raspberries or mixed berries. Want to graze rather than feast? Morton's offers Bar Bites Monday through Friday. This version of happy hour includes smaller portions of chicken goujonettes, mini-cheeseburgers and more. A notable wine list, which has by-the-glass selections and ideal accompaniments to steaks, like Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, rounds out the experience.
