Nacho Mama's Restaurant Review:
As piquant as a bowl of chiles, this tiny, multi-colored, light-festooned Mexican restaurant with a lively litany of Latin and Caribbean flavors boasts snappy mariachi music, caricature murals, and cheap, casual eats. You’re treated to speedy service for such items as chicken mole enchiladas, a carne asada wrap or a vegetable quesadilla (aka the Happy Hippie), and practically as many nacho varieties as there are margarita flavors (20 last count). Tuck into a taco salad or a fiesta of fajitas, burritos or such house specialties as carnitas Cubanas. There are burgers, too, and kids even have their own limited menu. Brunch items including huevos rancheros are available at lunch on weekends. As for something sweet, consider the cinnamon churros sundae. You can request a private room, but not on weekends. Mama’s has an offspring in the Clarion Hotel at 3207 N. Boulevard, 804-491-3333.
