THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED North One 10 Restaurant Review:
The neighborhood of North Miami has a great contemporary American restaurant with North One 10. The cream-colored room is either refreshingly unpretentious---or just plain dull---depending upon personal taste in such matters, but most would agree the overall effect is cozy. The cuisine of chef-owner Dewey LoSasso, though, renders concerns about ambience to the back burner. The emphasis is on fresh, seasonal, local ingredients prepared with acumen and verve, the result being knockout dishes such as foie gras nestled in a donut peach; mahogany-skinned duck with figs, Gorgonzola and orange-lavender sauce; and grilled branzino with tomato butter and leek fondue. The menu changes all the time but there's always something alluring to try. A user-friendly wine list is categorized by flavor characteristics, with many offerings of unique boutique vintners available by the glass. Dewey's wife Dale runs the front of the house with aplomb, her waitstaff smart and smooth.
