Oficina Latina Restaurant Review:
Oficina Latina is tucked away east of Broadway, on the quieter part of Prince Street. On warm summer nights, it's open to the sidewalk so you can hear the hum of happy diners from a few doors down. Tightly packed tables give the place a cozy vibe. There is a brief wine list with every selection available by the glass, but you'd be foolish to start with anything but a caipirinha. Things get serious when you see the endless list of rums, cachaca, tequilas and mezcals. The menu spans Central and South America, focusing on cities along the Pan-American Highway. Standard tapas are offered, but we suggest starting with any of the tender, flavorful skewers. Entrées are generously portioned, the whole fish, pescado frito, a highlight. Service is casual but attentive; it takes a special talent to navigate the snug space.
