Ottavio's Italian Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Ottavio's has been tossing pizza dough and saucing pasta since 1969 for Camarillo residents and tourists. Locals still gather for the pies, fresh salads, hearty lasagna and grilled shrimp al pomodoro. The dough for the pizza and rolls is made in-house; the tomato sauce is bright and flavorful, and the vegetables are fresh. Desserts like cannoli and tiramisu round out the offerings. The large space, a short drive from the Camarillo Premium Outlets mall, has been remodeled a bit since opening, but it doesn't exactly feel modern with its brass and glass touches, wall murals and hanging tapestries. No matter, because there's plenty of seating, a full bar and friendly servers. Early bird specials run from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday evenings, and the daily lunch buffet is a big hit with budget-minded diners looking for a quick meal.
