Otto's named a special menu item for its most celebrated fan---former president and Houston resident George Bush. Inspired by his hearty appetite, the Bush Plate features sliced beef, links and ribs, dished up with sides of creamy potato salad and hearty pinto beans. Smaller appetites can go for chicken and turkey options, and those on a budget choose the meat-stuffed po' boys and baked potatoes. Next door is the burger side, also a favorite of Bush's, where hand-pressed patties are cooked the old-fashioned way---on a griddle with a buttery toasted bun---and wrapped in paper. It would be blasphemous to skip the fat fries that perfectly complement this ethereal experience. There's nothing fancy at all about Otto's, which makes the former president's loyalty to it all the more endearing.
