Great Falls restaurant offering authentic Greek food in a charming setting.
Our Mom Eugenia Restaurant Review:
Chef Eugenia Hobson, who previously cooked in two renowned local Greek restaurants, launched her own establishment in Great Falls, offering a menu that reflects the authentic food she ate growing up on the Greek island of Zakynthos. It’s formatted to list numerous meat, vegetarian, cheese and seafood appetizers and a limited range of meat and seafood entrées. The trick is to order assorted starters spanning all categories, which will provide a diverse taste of the cuisine, unlike at other area eateries that serve gyros, souvlakis and pastitsio. Best bets among these native dishes? How about the Greek-style fried calamari, the phyllo-based spanakopita or the moussaka? For dessert, do not skip Hobson’s unusual galaktoboureko (custard piped into a phyllo wrap). Look for loads of Greek wine plus two Greek beers and plenty of cocktails.
