Pacific Moon Bar & Grill Restaurant Review:
Pacific Moon moved down San Pedro Avenue a while back to a location that has housed several different restaurants. But if anyone can make it in the space, this place can perhaps exorcize the curse, with its ceviche, chili nachos and crab cakes occupying the same appetizer list. The previously praised seared dumplings are absent from the present menu, while sandwiches appear to have gained favor. Think chicken salad meets teriyaki melt. There’s also the grilled Mongolian burger served with the house Mongolian sauce. If the twain can be said to meet in a single dish, it’s perhaps the inconsistent Samurai bowl with chicken and an “omelette” top. We are thus reserving judgment on food for the moment but do note that the bar’s cocktails have been attracting attention of late, and are relieved that management has seen fit not to try to emulate the eclectic menu in the décor.
