Pallino Pastaria Restaurant Review:
Pallino Pastaria’s speedy service might be reminiscent of an Italian cafeteria, but the high ceilings, tiled floors, and dark wood accents are more like an upscale bistro. The chef operates a Swiss-made machine that portions, cooks, and drains a serving of pasta in 90 seconds. Diners may choose their favorite noodle style and match it with numerous sauces, such as Fontina, Parmesan and Gorgonzola cheeses; bacon and peas in a garlicky white wine cream sauce; or pungent puttanesca with olives, capers, hot peppers, tomatoes, anchovies and garlic. Choose a salad or take the soup-and-panino route. Breakfast features a scrambled egg panino. The pleasing Italian-style coffee and friendly staff are a plus.
