THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Paolo's Restaurant Review:

Paolo's inhabits a park-like setting in the heart of downtown San Jose. At lunch, sandwiches, pastas, soups and salads make up the bulk of the menu, and preset express offerings --- think chicken flautas to salmon teriyaki --- are available for those with limited time. At night, the osso buco di vitello (braised veal shank with saffron-infused farro) and the pesce del giorno (fish of the day) make this a destination restaurant. Finish with one of the traditional Italian desserts, or a selection of three, five or seven cheeses. The wine list has same attributes as a super Tuscan: richness and depth. Service is well rehearsed, yet friendly.
