Papa’s Lil Italy has attracted a faithful following in its nearly 10 years, and for good reason. The menu is filled with the late William Bonadio’s traditional old family recipes, says his daughter-owner Candace Gideo. Take your choice of veal steak and eggplant, or chicken and eggplant. Both are served Parmigiana-style with spaghettini and traditional red sauce. One dish we especially enjoy is chicken ala Papa. The chicken is sautéed in olive oil and simmered in marinara sauce, mushrooms, basil and garlic, served with spaghettini. Italian cream cake is the appropriate dessert for any of the dishes.
