Parkhouse Eatery Restaurant Review:
Parkhouse Eatery offers a combination of coastal cuisine (from both sides of the U.S.) accented with a variety of global flavors. Breakfast is popular --- be ready to wait for a table. Once seated, try the chilaquiles (eggs scrambled with red corn tortillas, spicy chile sauce and Asiago cheese, and served with a black bean fritter) and the pumpkin-and-spice pancakes with maple syrup. Lunch is a bit more laid back; we recommend sitting on the patio, if possible. Our favorites are the "vegetarian treat" --- a Parmesan-and-cilantro-crusted avocado sandwich with tomatoes and red onions --- or the garlic-crusted pork and goat cheese quesadilla. Try to get a table in the cozy Hearth Room for dinner and enjoy the turkey meatloaf with mascarpone-mashed potatoes or the chef’s down-home beef stew loaded with braised meat, vegetables, polenta cubes and white beans, all topped with blue cheese crumbles. For those seeking seafood, crab cakes, lobster ravioli or pan-roasted mussels are a good call.
