Pasha’s Restaurant Review:

The innovative Miami-based mini-chain, which began well over a dozen years ago as a Harvard Business School MBA project, offers a glimpse into what the world of fast food could be like if only the foods were as tasty, fresh ingredient-driven, and healthy as they were fast. Creative light bites and heartier entrées, inspired by Eastern Mediterranean cuisines but not actually from those countries, are served in either simple self-service or more comfortable full-service settings appropriate to their neighborhoods and/or venues in which they’re housed. For breakfast, we like “eggselent wraps” --- try the version with scrambled eggs plus savory chicken breast sausage, onions, tomatoes, eggs, green pepper, Mediterranean cheese, and spicy harissa sauce. Bagel fans shouldn’t miss the simit, a thin sesame bagel --- like a flagel, but more delicate. At lunch you can consider the filet mignon vegetable wraps with cheese or aïoli, and pides, individual boat-shaped flatbread pizzas with thin crusts and a variety of toppings. Desserts like the walnut-studded nutelino (a less cloyingly sweet version of baklava) are a treat, as are fresh-squeezed juices.
