Pastaria Restaurant Review:
As you’d expect at a place named for pasta, the noodles must be sampled. Two of the simplest --- one with olive oil, garlic, chili and Grana Padano cheese, the other with black pepper and Pecorino --- are among the best. Pizzas are Neapolitan in style (even on the kids’ menu, which can cause consternation with the younger clientele if they’re not used to thin and crispy). Toppings range from traditional tomatoes, basil and mozzarella to butternut squash and sage. The all-Italian wine list offers a large diversity of regions and varietals. Because there are no reservations for parties of fewer than six, you’ll probably have to start with wine, a cocktail or local brew at the bar. But the food is worth the wait, right down to the cannoli, gelato or tiramisu for dessert.
