THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Peasant Bistro Restaurant Review:

Alums of Atlanta-founded Peasant Corporation, Pamela Furr and Maureen Kalmanson keep the brand alive at Peasant Bistro, an art-filled, modern space that's apropos for both business and romantic dining. This is the kind of French food you'll find in a bistro or even a routier (truck stop) --- mussels, French onion soup gratinée, duck confit. Cold weather brings braised dishes such as beef short ribs. But there are Southern American touches as well, such as the sorghum offered for the brunch french toast, and there's the nearly ubiquitous shrimp and grits. The Peasant’s version of Caesar salad is based on grilled romaine lettuce. Desserts are worthwhile on all fronts. The wine list is short, but its offerings are lovely, and the beer list merits attention, too. Iced tea comes with a tiny pitcher of simple syrup to sweeten it properly. A well-trained staff assures professional service.
