Petterino's Restaurant Review:
Petterino's is a winning restaurant in the Loop dining scene. Obviously, this is the place to eat if you're attending a performance at the Goodman or one of the other Loop theaters. A Lettuce Entertain You venture, it’s more or less a supper club with modern panache. The atmosphere is as theatric as its environs; check out the caricatures dotting the walls, and the buzzing servers decked out in vests and bowties. The menu is rife with classic dishes, including shrimp de jonghe, potato pancakes, pot roast and lemon cream pie. You’ll find steaks, chops and seafood, too. The waitstaff doesn’t overlook details, despite the noisy, ever-crowded scene. How's the cooking? Pretty darn good.
