This is the place to go in St. Armands Circle for sophisticated northern Italian, especially if you're in the mood to bust a move after lingering over your orecchiette with broccoli rabe and Italian sausage in garlic sauce, or maybe sharing a grilled veal chop with a tomato-basil salsa (you certainly can't dance effectively after eating a whole order yourself). Just upstairs from the chic restaurant, Straight Up Night Club features an excellent martini bar and a something-for-everyone approach to entertainment (Latin acts, belly dancing, Caribbean tunes, a big band, and so forth). The ristorante’s menu will be familiar, but is distinguished with its execution of dishes like classic carpaccio or a plate of zingy-with-garlic bruschetta.
