Hoppy Brewing Company Restaurant Review:

A longtime local favorite for a burger and a beer, this East Sacramento mainstay was one of the first in the city to brew its own. The restaurant is friendly and lively, offering typical pub fare with a few more upscale dishes thrown in. Starters include the expected jalapeño poppers and potato skins, as well as fresh oysters and smoked salmon bruschetta. Entrées run the gamut, from bison meatloaf to linguini and clams to steak topped with tomato jam. Burgers, pizzas and main-course salads are available, as are several vegetarian options. More than half a dozen specialty brews are available, including Golden Nugget Cream Ale and Stony Face Red Ale.
