Rinata Restaurant Review:

Dining after 10 p.m. in Minneapolis isn't easy. With Rinata, chef Jonathan Hunt (owner of Al Vento in south Minneapolis) is changing that---one chicken piccata at a time. The spirit of good Italian cooking hangs in the air since this cramped, 40-seat storefront was the longtime home of Giorgio. Hunt keeps his menu simple: a few standard salads (caprese, golden beets with chèvre and pistachios), a handful of pizzas (get the salami-roasted peppers combo) and a half-dozen classic entrées, ranging from fettuccine with clams and garlic to a hearty risotto flecked with a wild boar ragù. The bar shakes up some colorful cocktails, and the short (perhaps too short) wine list is an all-Italian affair.
