Trezo Mare Restaurant Review:

This swank Briarcliff Village spot is a convenient place for shoppers at neighboring Nell Hills to refuel during the day as well as a stylish dinner destination. The kitchen crafts a menu of fresh, wood-fired seafood plus a lighter menu of salads, soups, bisques and sandwiches during the day. Among the enjoyable midday bites are the chicken Cobb salad with creamy crab dressing and jumbo shrimp on grilled ciabatta with smoked bacon and lemon aïoli. Combos with cups of soup and half sandwiches are offered, too. Dinner remains chic with raw, wood-grilled, steamed, fired and roasted seafood taking center stage. Explore the four-course couples menu or the fruit de mer tagine, which arrives in the volcano-shaped vessel brimming with shellfish and seafood, garlic, fingerling potatoes and fresh herbs. Sides are served à la carte, and potato gnocchi flavored with Fontina and truffle oil is a hands-down winner. The wine and cocktail lists are loaded with seafood-appropriate selections. We especially like the Don Juan with Corazón Blanco and Pama pomegranate liqueur.
