THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED A Piece of the Pie European Bakery Restaurant Review:
A family affair, A Piece of the Pie European Bakery is the handiwork of Stewart Tate, the baker, his wife Joan, the cake decorator and caterer, and his daughters. The family hails from near Manchester, England, and in this small west Georgia town in the metro Atlanta area they have established perhaps the ideal bakery. While it's the sort of place you can drop in for lunch, the real treat is a hot cup of properly made tea with any of several sweet (but not too sweet) treats. We like the almond slice, reminiscent of a bakewell tart without the jam, the raisin slice and sundry chocolate possibilities. These are classics, taking a page right out of an English baking book.
