THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pig 'n Whistle Restaurant Review:
An English pub, sports bar, nightclub or pre-theater restaurant? It may be a dining spot with an identity crisis, but no matter how you classify the Pig 'n Whistle, you can't deny that the kitchen’s focus is clearly on quality and flavor. Housed in the original Pig 'n Whistle location, it would have almost been a crime if the cuisine didn't live up to the painstaking refurbishment undertaken to restore this icon to the condition many enjoyed during its Hollywood heyday. The antique stained glass and cozy booths will bring back old memories; the comfort pub food menu will make you feel at home. There’s shepherd's pie, good old spaghetti and meatballs, Philly cheesesteak and beer-battered halibut fish 'n' chips. Other good choices include the margherita pizza and the grilled Atlantic salmon. Finish with a slice of pie for dessert. Pig 'n Whistle turns into a club Friday and Saturday evenings.
