Pizza Rock Restaurant Review:
Hard to miss upon entering this lively restaurant is a Peterbilt semi cab in the dining room, from which DJ's ply their trade at night. Once you divert your attention away from it, focus on all the pizza options. Pretty much every style is represented --- Napoletana, Romana, Chicago, Californian, classic Italian, American, Sicilian, Roman and gluten-free --- and four ovens cook them at the perfect temperatures. The Cal Italia is well worth checking out, with Asiago, mozzarella, Gorgonzola, prosciutto, sweet fig preserve and balsamic reduction. The Old Chicago is a must, too, made with mozzarella, provolone, meatballs, Italian sausage, garlic, ricotta and romano. If you’d rather skip pizza, consider filling up on appetizers such as the Italian fries, which come in options of Gorgonzola, rosemary garlic or truffle, or the spicy calamari, served in a portion large enough for three diners or more. Wash it all down with a good beer --- an outstanding collection of unique craft brews is offered, like locally made Joseph James Baby J's German Chocolate Cake Milk Stout (limited availability). The dessert calzone is stuffed with vanilla gelato, apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and caramel.
