PLOW & ANGEL IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED. Located downstairs from the white-tablecloth Stonehouse restaurant, the casual Plow & Angel serves “ranchy” food: ribs and burgers, along with steaks and a nice fish menu. Desserts like Belgian chocolate pot de crème round out the menu and are available in “petite” as well as original size. For indecisive patrons, a sampler includes an assortment of any three petite desserts. Service is courteous and the food high-quality. Nightly specials offer an entire meal for under $25; depending on the night, it could be anything from macaroni and cheese to Prime rib. If you want to go to the other end of the price spectrum, order from the Stonehouse menu. A blazing fire and a jukebox with some divine tunes add to the atmosphere, and you’ll find live music on Friday and Saturday nights. There's often a wait to get in since the place doesn't take reservations, but once you've got a drink in hand and a seat by the fireplace, you probably won't mind waiting.
