THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Porcino Restaurant Review:
This charming spot not far from Windsor Airport offers a menu with Mediterranean flair, but still it’s one that is hard to categorize. Chef-proprietor Gino Parco, whose small kitchen is completely open to the dining room, aptly dubs his style “market-fresh cuisine.” There's a leisurely vibe to the place, which features courteous servers in bright blue cotton shirts and a single room with sunny yellow walls, grapevines twined with tiny white lights and mirrors cut in a curving pattern. Soft jazz plays in the background. Favored dishes include a grilled portobello layered with roasted red pepper, goat cheese, tomato and eggplant and steamed mussels in a parsley-flecked tomato broth. There is always a chicken, fish, beef, veal, pork and lamb dish on the list of seven main courses at dinner. The lunch menu is more concise. A surprisingly extensive wine list accompanies the fare.
