Pork Belly Grub Shack Restaurant Review:
Located in an otherwise ordinary strip mall, this casual restaurant is a meat-lover's paradise. Reminiscent of a Southern barbecue pit, with red-and-white checkered tablecloths and paper-lined serving baskets, the vibe is laid back (diners order at the counter and seat themselves), but the food is anything but. Not surprisingly, pork takes center stage, whether sandwiched between bread, loaded into a tortilla or piled onto a salad. Starters include pork belly fries with blue cheese, pork belly mac 'n' cheese, and a pork belly Asian street taco. Burgers range from one with pork belly, bacon, jalapeños and house-made barbecue sauce, to the flamin' pig, with pork belly, bacon, pepper jack cheese and chipotle aïoli. Other offerings include a fish po’ boy, fried chicken sandwich and pulled pork sandwich.
