Rasoi Restaurant Review:
Rasoi delivers the specialties of north and south India along with a few fusion items, particularly among the dinner menu’s appetizers (like the crab cakes coated with garbanzo bean butter). Vegetarians will relish the many choices, or indulge in the huge dinner platter of favorites like navratan korma and palak paneer. Pescatarians have options, too, including the kerala fish curry with seasonal seafood, simmered in coconut curry sauce. Meat-lovers may want to try one of the varieties of tandoori chicken, and sweet-seekers should be sure to check out the dumpling-like gulab jamun. There are 10 bread options, and of the naan varieties, we prefer either the plain or the over-the-top version with garlic and cheese. The wine selection is limited, but the bar stocks a full range of libations. The weekday lunch buffet is popular among those who work at shops in the neighborhood or the nearby hospital. On weekend mornings, the brunch buffet will get your blood pumping thanks to both the spicy food and the colorful décor.
