Exotic and eclectic, this pan-Asian eatery hits the conservative town of Vienna with a big bang. Taking over an earlier ice cream parlor and a carpet store, it has enough dining and bar space to accommodate guests who will experience the chef’s take on Thai and Japanese fare. As for the starters, why not go for the Asian taco, spicy tuna, salmon or chicken in a crispy shell? Or the sumptuous braised pork belly? Entrées include Thai massaman beef curry, Singapore noodles, Thai basil duck, and lobster and shrimp keemao. Fried rice, Thai noodle dishes and Japanese bento boxes, and sushi and sashimi dinner options round out the menu. While it might fit better in the more adventurous food communities of DC, Red Galanga gives suburbanites the chance to enjoy on-point Asian eats.
