Red Hook Lobster Pound Restaurant Review:
The name says it all at this truly salt-of-the-earth eatery in the outlying Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn. The focus is on lobster, specifically lobster rolls, that favorite northeast crustacean creation. Lobster may be mixed with homemade mayo and served on a fluffy J.J. Nissen top-split bun. Lobster and buns come straight from the fishing boats in Maine and the freshness and taste prove it. A creamy lobster bisque and a shrimp roll round out the small menu. Order at the counter and then take your food to the adjacent picnic table-filled room.
