Red Knot Restaurant Review:

Red Knot is aptly named for a colorful shorebird that migrates through New Jersey on its South America-to-the-Arctic journey. And like a bird’s eye view, diners are afforded a sweeping picture of the Galloping Hill Golf Course and the countryside beyond seen through floor-to-ceiling windows or from the slate terrace. The modern Craftsman interior is highlighted with natural stone, imported tile and bamboo flooring. The menu has elements of contemporary American fare as well as gastropub delights. Consider the shrimp ceviche tostadas or the smoked rib-eye with house-made steak sauce. There’s an array of specialty burgers prepared with a generous hand. (Former executive chef Ralph Romano is no longer with the restaurant.) Most notable among desserts is Chef Brian’s Beignets, fresh from the fryer with a trio of “dunks”: chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and raspberry purée. The wine list is carefully chosen and fairly priced. Service is efficient and pleasant.
