Located on the second floor of the Grand Summit Hotel, Red Tail Grill is your only choice for casual family dining that's not in a bar, so you'll often find a wait and slow kitchen. Settle in and gaze outside to mountain bikers and hikers making their way down Doc's Run. You won't go wrong with the tortilla soup, guacamole or the chicken enchiladas. Several menu items are gluten-free. The best deal, however, comes from the kids’ menu. The sizable cheeseburger is charbroiled and juicy. There is a bar area but because of the ritual shedding of gear it's an uncomfortable squeeze if you're looking for more than a tasty jalapeño margarita at the end of the afternoon.
