The Refuge Restaurant Review:
Philly cheesesteak and Reuben fans should make this gourmet gastropub a regular pit stop: yes, it’s pricey for a burger or Reuben, but worth it. Burger lovers enjoy specialties such as the mole burger topped with authentic peanut mole sauce, bacon, cheddar and pickled jalapeños, or the pastrami burger topped with sliced pastrami, melted Swiss, sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Pickles are the real deal. Feeling like chopped chicken liver? Check it out. Salads are available: ever have a pastrami salad with honey mustard dressing? You won’t go thirsty here, with the hefty selection of draught Belgian and microbrews, bottled beers, ciders and more. When they say “superlative bread pudding,” they kid you not, accompanied by a velvety bourbon caramel sauce. (For those who get a bit carried away, Underberg digestif bitters are also available.)
