The Regent Thai Cuisine Restaurant Review:

Before you shrug and assume this is just another Thai restaurant, sample some of the kitchen’s fare: it’s robustly flavored and technically correct. While the menu is far too short to let you glimpse the real joys of the Thai kitchen, at least the chef knows a thing or two about seasonings. Your best bet would be the crispy duck with its toss of stir-fried veggies and dipping sauce. You could follow with the pad thai, though here the chef foregoes the use of tamarind in the sauce. Start with any one of the appetizers, but we suggest the tod mun, or fried fish cakes. While you wait for your meal, enjoy the setting, decked out with dark woods, a carved miniature Thai house or temple, and for-sale décor. It’s an elegant eatery, and worth the trip to Adams Morgan.
